The memorial hall is located atop Litchi Mountain, opposite Donghu Park. The monument stands 1.1 meters tall, majestically perched on a 1.2-meter-high stone pedestal. The entire structure tapers gradually from bottom to top, being larger at the base and smaller at the top. It bears the ten bold black characters “Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument,” giving it a solemn and respectful appearance. At the base of the monument is inlaid a piece of black marble, engraved with an inscription that recounts how Zengcheng County established the Chinese Communist Party Zengcheng County Committee and revolutionary armed forces after the “July 7th Incident” of 1937. These forces engaged in fierce struggles against Japanese invaders and reactionary factions of the Kuomintang, ultimately achieving great victories in 1949 by cooperating with the advancing 131st Division of the People’s Liberation Army to liberate the entire Zengcheng region. In 1981, the local government erected the monument in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Liberation War.
