The Xiong Clan Ancestral Hall in Latianpu Village is a Guangzhou municipal-level cultural heritage conservation unit.

The Xiong Clan Ancestral Hall in Latianpu Village is located at the northern end of the natural village of Latianpu in Gaocun, Paitan Town, Zengcheng District. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

In July 2002, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of Guangzhou municipal cultural heritage conservation units.

Protected area: the western boundary is defined by the wall line of the square in front of the ancestral hall, while the rest is defined by the exterior wall line of the ancestral hall building (three bays on the central axis, six rows deep).

Construction control zone: to the east, it extends to the boundary line between the hillside and cultivated flatland on the eastern side of the ancestral hall. To the north, it extends about 70 meters outward from the outer edge of the protected area to the southern boundary line of the new village area of Latianpu, and partially to the northern boundary line of the existing road on the north side of the ancestral hall’s north gate tower. To the south, it extends about 130 meters outward from the outer edge of the ancestral hall building to the northern boundary line of the existing road on the outside of the southern pond. To the west, it includes the pond on the western side of the ancestral hall, extending to the eastern boundary line of the existing road on the outside of the pond.

Paitan Town: Overview: Paitan Town is situated at the northern end of the Pearl River Delta region and is the largest mountainous town in northern Zengcheng. It lies 28 km south of downtown Zengcheng, 60 km from Dongguan, 22 km west of downtown Conghua, and 70 km from Guangzhou, bordering Longmen County to the northeast. The total area of the town is 289.5 square kilometers, with a population of 76,799 at the end of 2004. It administers 34 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee.
