Jia Bao Hall

Jia Bao Hall is a Guangzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Jia Bao Hall (including the pawnshop) is located in Gangwei Village, Shitan Town, Zengcheng District. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient building. The site includes the Zhang Family Ancestral Hall, its attached study room (also used as a living room, commonly known as the Boat Hall), and the pawnshop.

In December 2008, it was designated as part of the seventh batch of Guangzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Protected area: 5 meters beyond the outer wall of the building.

Construction control zone: 30 meters beyond the outer edge of the protected area.

Shitan Town: I. Basic Information Shitan Town is located in the southern part of Zengcheng City and is one of the first five model central towns in Guangzhou. It lies at the eastern end of the eastern sector of Guangzhou, bordering Li Cheng to the north and facing Dongguan across the river to the south. In February 2004, Zengcheng carried out an adjustment of its township-level administrative divisions, merging the former Sanjiang Town and Shazhuang Subdistrict into Shitan Town.
