Yanguangqiao Fort

Yanguangqiao Fort is a Guangzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Yanguangqiao Fort is located on the west bank of Xifu River, north of Yanguangqiao in Kengbei Village, Zhongxin Town, Zengcheng District.

On August 19, 2015, it was designated as part of the eighth batch of Guangzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Units by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government.

Protected area: approximately 5 meters beyond the outer edge of the fort.

Construction control zone: extends east to the current western bank line of Xifu River, south to the current northern boundary of National Highway 324, and the rest approximately 30 meters beyond the protected area.

Zhongxin Town: Located in the central-western part of Zengcheng City, Zhongxin Town is 38 kilometers west of downtown Guangzhou, 18 kilometers east of downtown Zengcheng, borders the Yonghe Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xintang Town to the south, and is 41 kilometers north of Huadu International New Airport. In 2003, the town covered a total area of 323.62 square kilometers, governing 49 administrative villages and 3 neighborhood committees; with a total population of 123,077, including 107,506 permanent residents (94,914 in rural areas and 12,592 in urban areas), and 15,571 migrant residents.
