Guangzhou Children's Library is a sub-provincial public library that serves children aged 0–18, their parents, and child-related professionals in the Guangzhou area. The new library is located at No. 42 Zhongshan 4th Road, with a construction area of 17,000 square meters, and began providing services on March 1, 2015.

Guangzhou Children's Library has always adhered to the service philosophy of "reader-oriented," opening six days a week (48 hours) and remaining open during holidays. It boasts a rich collection of literature and digital resources, offering services such as document borrowing, reading guidance, information consultation, and children's interest training. To enhance children’s reading interest and ability, the library actively participates in and organizes major social and cultural events such as “World Book Day on April 23,” “Summer in Guangzhou,” and “Public Library Service Promotion Week.” It regularly holds diverse lectures, consultations, guidance sessions, and exhibitions, making it a quality education base for children in Guangzhou.

The service system of Guangzhou Children's Library consists of the main library, joint branch libraries, book delivery stations, and mobile library service points, extending its reach across Guangzhou. Currently, multiple joint branch libraries, book delivery stations, and mobile library service points have been established in relatively remote communities in Huangpu District, Baiyun District, Haizhu District, Nansha District, Conghua City, and Zengcheng City among the 10 districts and 2 county-level cities of Guangzhou, as well as in the Guangzhou Juvenile Reformatory, Guangzhou School for the Deaf, and remote schools in Guangzhou. Through these service outlets, books are delivered promptly to children in suburban and urban-rural fringe areas, striving to create an atmosphere where reading is right at their doorstep and making it convenient for children to read nearby.

With its rich service content, advanced service methods, and scientific management approaches, Guangzhou Children's Library has become a public library with considerable social influence and recognition both in Guangdong Province and across the nation. It has been awarded honors such as “National First-Class Library,” “Guangdong Provincial Civilized Library,” “Guangzhou Women’s Civilization Model Post,” “Guangzhou Mass Culture Advanced Unit,” and “Guangzhou Youth Civilization Number” from the Ministry of Culture, Guangzhou Municipal Government, and relevant departments.
