The Tomb of Phạm Hồng Thái in Vietnam is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangzhou City.

The Tomb of Phạm Hồng Thái in Vietnam is located at Taihe Hill, behind Huanghuagang Park on Xianlie Road in Guangzhou. The tomb is built of cement, covering an area of about 80 square meters. The granite gravestone is conical in shape, with a three-tiered base. The tombstone stands 3.27 meters tall, and its front bears inscriptions in both Chinese and Vietnamese: Tomb of the Vietnamese Martyr Phạm Hồng. A memorial stele for the martyr stands beside the tomb, measuring 1.8 meters wide and 2.6 meters tall, recounting the martyr’s birth, death, and life history.

Phạm Hồng Thái (1892–1924), originally named Thành Tích, was from Bắc Kỳ, Nghệ An Province, Vietnam. In his early years, he joined the Vietnam Restoration League and the Righteous and Heroic Group, dedicating himself to Vietnam’s national liberation movement. On June 19, 1924, after writing the testament "To the People of the World," with the assistance of Chinese revolutionaries, he entered Victoria Hotel on Shamian Island in Guangzhou (now Victory Hotel) under the guise of a journalist. He attempted to assassinate the Governor-General of French Indochina, Merlin, by detonating explosives, killing and injuring several of Merlin’s attendants on the spot, though Merlin escaped. Surrounded and pursued by French forces, Phạm Hồng Thái heroically jumped into White Swan Pond and died a martyr. His remains were originally buried at Erwang Hill on Xianlie Road, with the grave facing southwest toward Vietnam. In 1958, due to road expansion, the tomb was relocated and rebuilt at its current site by the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Committee. Upon the completion of the new tomb, Phạm Hồng Thái’s wife, son, and a representative of the Vietnamese Workers’ Party attended the unveiling ceremony.
