Tomb of Zhu Zhixin

The Tomb of Zhu Zhixin is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangzhou.

On September 21, 1920, Zhu Zhixin was assassinated by the Guangxi warlords in Humen and was buried in the Zhu Zhixin Cemetery on Xianlie East Road in Guangzhou. The cemetery spans over 4,000 square meters, enclosed by high walls, with layered steps, towering monuments, and lush trees. The inscriptions on the stele and the tomb epitaph were respectively penned by Sun Yat-sen and Wang Jingwei. In the autumn of 1936, termites were discovered in the tomb site, so his remains were relocated to the campus of Zhixin Middle School, and the original site became a cenotaph. The cemetery at Zhixin Middle School covers an area of more than 500 square meters, with a mound-shaped tomb about 3 meters high and over 10 meters in circumference. In March 1963, both tomb sites were designated as cultural relic protection units of Guangzhou.
