Dadongshan Hot Springs

Lianzhou boasts mysterious and magnificent underground rivers, as well as the Dadongshan Hot Springs Waterfall Tourist Resort, which combines waterfalls, hot springs, and forests. The Dadongshan Hot Springs are located within the Dalianshan Nature Reserve in Chaotian Town, northeast of downtown Lianzhou, about 38 kilometers northeast of Lianzhou City. The hot spring area is built on a mountain at an altitude of around 800 meters (Dadongshan itself rises to an elevation of 1450 meters and is imposing in scale). Amid dense woods, two streams flow down the mountain, one of which, shrouded in steam, is the hot spring. The spring water is odorless, non-toxic, and rich in beneficial minerals for the human body. It is said to be highly effective for those suffering from skin diseases. The water temperature is divided into three levels: the first level (at the spring outlet) is the hottest, reaching 76°C, hot enough to boil an egg; the second level ranges between 52–60°C; and the third level is around 40°C. This level has a relatively stable temperature and is ideal for bathing.
