The Longtan Ancient Town Resort will be developed into a highly distinctive tourist destination brand. While mainly focusing on sightseeing, it will also integrate various functions including leisure, vacationing, entertainment, ecotourism, cultural dissemination, and nature conservation. The resort will include night cruises on the Huangchuan Three Gorges, Yao ethnic bonfire evening events, even a simple and comprehensive Lianzhou Museum, and star-rated hotels, among other leisure activities, providing visitors with a wide range of recreational options. It aims to become an ecotourism destination with a well-known brand in northern Guangdong and even the entire province. The project will comprehensively improve infrastructure and tourism facilities, creating a civilized, fresh, excellent, and comfortable tourism environment, integrating ecology and tourism into people’s daily lives. This will allow the Longtan Resort to share common elements with Yangshuo West Street, Lijiang Ancient Town, and Fenghuang Ancient Town while also developing its own unique features that set it distinctly apart.

The layout of the resort's land use, road design, and architectural relationships all reflect the concept of "concealment"—not competing with the landscape but rather harmonizing with and returning to nature. The emphasis is placed on an ecologically centered, water-themed tourist resort.

The Longtan Ancient Town Resort in Lianzhou is a tourism project invested in, developed, and constructed by Qingyuan City's Lianzhou Aidi Tourism Development Co., Ltd. Built upon the foundation of the original Huangchuan Three Gorges scenic area and incorporating areas under the jurisdiction of Jiubei Town Government, the resort has been scientifically planned and rationally transformed into a distinctive tourism destination themed around the culture of “harmony.”

The Three Treasures of Lianzhou: candied jujubes, polygonatum, and dragon beard grass. Dongbei cured meats: cured eggs, cured dog meat, wind sausage, and Dongbei beef jerky. The late-night street food stalls along the river in Lianzhou are very distinctive and truly reflect the character of the local people. Stir-fried snails, snake slices, oysters, and more are especially popular.

Lianzhou's jujubes are the best in the province. They are characterized by their thin skin, thick flesh, and high sugar content. When processed into candied jujubes, they are moistening to the lungs, beautifying to the skin, sweet, and delicious. Marketed under the “Zhu—” trademark, they are exported to Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asian countries. Dongbei cured meats are renowned across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and many Southeast Asian nations, often a source of pride for locals. While they can now be found in major specialty stores, authentic cured meats are still best purchased in Dongbei Town, Lianzhou City.

Longtan Village: The Longtan Village Committee is located to the east of Jiubei Town, bordering Xijiang Town to the east, Yangshan County to the south, Nanshitang Village to the west, and connecting to Lianzhou Town to the north. The Xiao Bei River runs through the area. It is approximately 28 kilometers from the town government. The village administers 11 villager groups: Longyi, Longer, Duimianjiang, Longxue, Sansong, Huangjialiao, Pingyi, Ping’er, Jingtouzhai, Hongtian, and Zhuziping. It has 263 households, a population of 1,254, and 1,872 acres of arable land, including 936 acres of paddy fields, 599 acres of dry fields, and 337 acres of dry land. Longtan Village is known for its abundant production of wampee fruit.
