Tiejing Pavilion

Tiejing Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Lianzhou City.

Tiejing Pavilion was originally built in the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939) and the current structure is a reconstruction on the original site completed in 1982.

In the winter of 1938, then-Governor Wu Tiecheng allocated funds to renovate and protect the ancient Yanxi relics, while Principal Yang Zhiquan constructed Tiejing Pavilion and placed the “Prosperity Through Adversity” stele inside. Both the pavilion and the stone tablet were damaged during the Cultural Revolution.

In 2011, the People’s Government of Lianzhou City designated it as part of the second batch of cultural relic protection units in Lianzhou City, and it is protected under the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics.

Protected area: an extension of 30 meters outward from the core structure of the cultural relic;

Construction control zone: an additional 30-meter buffer extending outward from the protected area.
