Wolong Pavilion

Wolong Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Lianzhou City.

Wolong Pavilion is located on Yanzhi Mountain at Lianzhou Middle School in Lianzhou City. It was built during the Shaoxing era (1131–1162) of the Southern Song Dynasty by Chen Yi, the then prefect of Lianzhou, and was named after the "Reclining Dragon Stone" situated nearby. The pavilion has undergone multiple renovations, with the current structure dating back to the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938).

The pavilion faces north and has a single-eave hipped roof with plain tiles, featuring green-glazed tile ridges trimmed with drips. Its four corner pillars are made of brick, while the interior has four wooden columns.

In July 1996, the Lianzhou Municipal People's Government designated it as one of the first batch of cultural relic protection units of Lianzhou City, protected under the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics.

Lianzhou Town: a town under the jurisdiction of Lianzhou City and the location of the municipal government. Established as Lianzhou Commune in 1958 and upgraded to a town in 1968, it covers an area of 104.8 square kilometers with a population of 97,000. National Highway 107 passes through the area, and the Lian River is navigable. It administers 17 village-level divisions (including management areas and village committees) including Longkou, Xiemin, Shazigang, Longzui, Nitán, Mandi, Yuantan, Sangu Tan, Liangjiang, Gaodui, Banling, Jin Feng, Shen Shuidong, Chengdong, Chengnan, Chengxi, Chengbei, and 3 neighborhood offices: Beihu, Nanmen, and Dongshan. The town’s township enterprises are mainly engaged in construction, building materials, light textiles, leather making, chemicals, and other industries.
