Peleș Castle

Peleș Castle is located in Prahova County, Romania. It is a Neo-Renaissance-style castle, constructed between 1873 and 1914, and opened in 1883. Functionally and stylistically, it is a palace, but it is commonly referred to as a castle.

The interior of Peleș Castle is decorated in the Baroque style, featuring abundant wood carvings and exquisite fabrics, exuding great beauty. The castle covers an area of 3,200 square meters and has 168 rooms. Each room is themed around different aspects of world culture, based on its style and function. Among them, 35 rooms are open to the public, including the basement museum and the rooms on the first floor. The interiors house some of the finest artworks from Central and Eastern Europe, including sculptures, paintings, furniture, weapons, armor, gold, silver, stained glass, fine porcelain, and tapestries.

Peleș Castle is open from 9 AM to 5 PM Wednesday through Sunday, and from 11 AM to 5 PM on Tuesdays. It is closed on Mondays.
