Cluj-Napoca is a city in northwestern Romania, the capital of Cluj County, and serves as an academic, cultural, and industrial hub of the country. With a history spanning over 2,000 years, it is considered the cradle of Romanian civilization and boasts numerous historical buildings, making it rich in tourism resources.

Centered around Union Square, Cluj-Napoca spreads out in all directions. Union Square is the largest and most important square in the city, and also one of the largest in Romania, measuring 220 meters by 160 meters. The square features the Old Town Hall and palaces from different eras. In addition to medieval architecture, there are also ruins of ancient Roman and Dacian structures beneath the square. Furthermore, a statue of Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary, is located on the square. The city has many landmark buildings, the most famous of which is St. Michael’s Church in Union Square. Measuring 50 meters long and 24 meters wide, it is the second-largest Gothic church in Romania and boasts the tallest church bell tower in the country.
