Introduction   Most of the caves here are rock caves, with a few being glacier caves. In Ochtiná, there is an extremely rare aragonite cave — one of only three such publicly accessible caves in the world. The Domica Ice Cave, along with the Slovak Karst caves, has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list. Slovakia boasts the largest area of karst topography in Central Europe. There are about 1,300 springs in Slovakia. Twenty-three natural resorts offer treatments using water, mud, and climate therapy. Highlights   Slovakia is a great destination for nature lovers and enthusiasts of cave exploration.
