The Dark Knight strikes again at the Hot Air Balloon Festival – Slovakia’s clown-themed balloon takes to the skies in joy!

Taiwan’s annual “Hot Air Balloon Festival,” now in its fourth year, will kick off later this month in Taitung,Last year, the 300-cubic-meter Darth Vader-shaped hot air balloon captured the attention of travelers across Taiwan as soon as it appeared; earlier, the Taitung County Government announced that this year’s Darth Vader is expected to make another appearance at Luye Gaotai from June 1 to June 19, and a lifelike “clown balloon” from Slovakia will also debut in late July.

Organizers said this year’s “Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival” has invited over a dozen uniquely shaped balloons from around the world. These balloons will appear at different times, with some overlapping appearances. More information on upcoming balloons will be released gradually. The public is encouraged to follow the official Facebook fan page “Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival - Taiwan Balloon Festival.”

The longest-running global event and the largest-scale hot air balloon festival in Taiwan, the “2014 Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival,” will grandly take place in Taitung from May 30 to August 10. Hot air balloon passenger flights and aerial guided tours will officially begin on June 14.
