St. Martin's Cathedral (St. Martin's Cathedral) began serving as a cathedral for prayers in 1452, but it took nearly two centuries to complete the construction of this Gothic church. The cathedral is approximately 69.37 meters long, 22.85 meters wide, and 16.02 meters high. Its interior features three equally sized naves, offering visitors a spacious and bright atmosphere, allowing them to take in the church’s magnificent golden decor, architectural layout, and ornate details.

In the 16th century, when Bratislava became the capital of Hungary, the cathedral was used as the site for coronation ceremonies. From 1563 to 1830, a total of 11 Hungarian kings and 8 queens were crowned here. St. Martin's is the most famous church in Bratislava. It once served as a fortress for the city and is a Gothic structure full of mystery. Of course, simply walking in and out isn’t enough — you should walk all around this magnificent cathedral. You’ll find that each corner offers something unique and distinctive. Moreover, if you’re lucky, you might even witness a grand wedding ceremony taking place here.
