Introduction

To the left and right of Heroes' Square are two art museums. The one on the left facing Heroes' Square is the National Gallery (Szépművészeti Múzeum), and the one on the right is the Műcsarnok Gallery.

Features

Although it is Hungary's national gallery, interestingly, its main collection consists of paintings from other European countries, including works by numerous masters from Spain, Italy, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom dating from the 13th to the 18th centuries, as well as some watercolors and sculptures from the 19th and 20th centuries.
