　 Introduction The Peloponnese Peninsula, anciently known as the "Morea Peninsula," is located in the southern part of Greece and is surrounded by sea on three sides. It connects to central Greece in the north via the Isthmus of Corinth, where the Corinth Canal has been dug. The Corinth Canal is the world’s third-largest man-made canal and is well worth visiting. The region is rich in historical landmarks, featuring the first Olympic Stadium, Agamemnon’s Mycenae, as well as the rustic and pristine region of Maina. The area has a well-developed grape-growing industry, producing 25% of Greece’s total wine output.
