Mytilene

Mytilene is located on the southeastern coast of the Greek island of Lesbos in the Aegean Sea. It serves as the capital of the island and the seat of the regional unit of Lesbos. Additionally, Mytilene is the most densely populated area in the North Aegean region and the birthplace of Pittacus, one of the Seven Sages of Ancient Greece. The city is also home to the renowned University of the Aegean.
