Victoria Park in Leicester is a vast public park covering an area of 69 acres. Located southeast of Leicester city center, behind the University of Leicester and close to Leicester Railway Station, it is one of the most important outdoor recreation areas in Leicester.

Victoria Park is an important historical landmark in southern Leicester. From 1806 to 1883, the site was a horse racing track and opened as a park in 1882. The park features two monuments: one is the prominent War Memorial standing tall within the grounds, a Roman-style triumphal arch designed in 1923 by architect Edwin Lutyens to commemorate soldiers who lost their lives in World War I; this monument has been listed as a Grade I historic structure in the UK. The other, smaller monument near the park café commemorates the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States.

The park offers a variety of sports facilities, including tennis courts, basketball courts, bowling greens, croquet lawns, football pitches, and cricket fields, with a recent addition being a skate park. It is frequently used as a venue for numerous public outdoor events, such as the BBC Radio 1’s “Big Weekend,” the Leicester Caribbean Carnival, and Leicester Pride, making it a great place for relaxation and celebration.
