St. Nicholas Church is located in Leicester, Leicestershire, near Jewry Wall. It is an Anglican church, the oldest religious site in Leicester, and also the official church of the University of Leicester. The history of St. Nicholas Church dates back to 880 AD, and recent architectural surveys suggest it may have been a Roman building, with the spire being Norman in origin.

In 1825, the church was in a very perilous state, and there were even plans to demolish it. Fortunately, not only was it not torn down, but it was also restored. The restoration work took place between 1875 and 1884, during which a aisle was added. The exterior of the church lacks the grandeur of other cathedrals, giving it a sense of history and simplicity. Its interior decorations are not as ornate as those in other churches, but they evoke a feeling of sanctity and comfort. The church's organ, built in 1890, is of historic significance and has made great contributions to the church.

St. Nicholas Church has three bells, dating back to 1617, 1656, and 1710 respectively. They were once replaced by a single larger bell, but in 2002, to welcome Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to the church, the original three bells were returned.
