The Joseph Chamberlain Memorial Clock Tower is located in front of the Chancellor's Court at the main campus of the University of Birmingham in the West Midlands, England. Although there are varying reports about its height, it is considered the tallest free-standing clock tower in the world. The University of Birmingham lists its height as 110 meters, while other sources describe it as 100 meters.

The Joseph Chamberlain Memorial Clock Tower was built between 1900 and 1908 to commemorate Joseph Chamberlain, the first Chancellor of the University of Birmingham. During its construction, there were suggestions to name the tower after John Henry Poynting, one of the university’s earliest professors. Today, students and locals commonly refer to it as "Old Joe," "Big Joe," or simply "the Clock Tower." The Joseph Chamberlain Memorial Clock Tower has become one of Birmingham’s most iconic landmarks and is listed as a Grade II* listed building in the UK. From afar, the towering structure is easily visible.

Among University of Birmingham students, there is a popular superstition that if you stand under the tower when the bells chime, you will fail your exams.
