Ikon Gallery

Ikon Gallery is located in Birmingham and was established in 1965. It is a gallery dedicated to collecting contemporary art, aiming to encourage more people to appreciate, understand, and engage with contemporary art, thereby promoting the development and progress of the art world.

Ikon Gallery is well-known for its distinctive temporary exhibitions, with an exhibition space of 450 square metres where a diverse range of artistic forms are presented, including film, photography, video, painting, sculpture, and installation art. In addition to exhibitions, the gallery also hosts outdoor events to enhance the relationship between art, artists, and audiences. “Learning” is one of the most important activities at Ikon Gallery, using a series of talks, workshops, seminars, and more to spark the public’s interest in and understanding of contemporary visual art.

The gallery also features a gift shop and a café, allowing visitors to enjoy delicious coffee in the elegant café after viewing the exhibitions. The gallery offers free admission and is open to the public from 11:00 to 18:00 Tuesday to Sunday, and is closed on Mondays.
