Coventry

Coventry is located in the heart of England and is a city in the West Midlands county of the West Midlands region in England. It ranks as the ninth-largest city in England and was the world's first city to form a "twinning" relationship with another city. The city is renowned for its automobile industry, and the legend of Coventry Cathedral and Lady Godiva is also well known.

Coventry is a city rich in tourist resources. Coventry Cathedral is the city’s most famous landmark. The original 14th-century church was destroyed during the German air raids in World War II, leaving only the outer walls and spire. The new cathedral opened in 1962 and features an interior decorated with a large tapestry called "Christ in Glory." Another notable attraction is the Coventry Transport Museum in the city center, which is the world's largest museum dedicated to British-made cars. In addition, the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum is Coventry’s main art exhibition venue; outside the city lies the reconstructed ancient Roman fort Lunt Fort; and near Coventry Airport is the Midland Air Museum.

Coventry’s theaters, arts, and concert venues enjoy a strong reputation in the UK, including the Warwick Arts Centre, the second-largest arts center in the UK after London’s Barbican Centre, and the Belgrade Theatre, one of the UK’s largest producing theatres. The upcoming Belgrade Plaza will be another remarkable project.
