Wolverhampton is a metropolitan borough and city in the West Midlands county of the West Midlands region, England. Located within the West Midlands conurbation, it sits 19 km northwest of Birmingham. Originally an agricultural market town, it has since developed into a major industrial and educational hub, home to the University of Wolverhampton and other educational institutions.

Wolverhampton boasts numerous tourist attractions. The Wolverhampton Art Gallery, opened in 1884, houses the largest collection of Pop Art in England. The Bantock House Museum is the best place to learn about the history of the Bantock family and the key figures of the Victorian era who significantly influenced Wolverhampton's development. Regular exhibitions are also held there. Other must-visits include Northycote Farm & Country Park, situated on lush green fields; Moseley Old Hall, an Elizabethan mansion where Charles II hid after the Battle of Worcester in 1651; the historic Wightwick Manor; St Peter's Church, the tallest building in the city center; and the Cosford RAF Museum, which displays over 70 vintage aircraft.
