Dudley is a town in the West Midlands of England and serves as the administrative and financial center of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough. It is located six miles south of Wolverhampton and eight miles north-west of Birmingham.

The ruins of Dudley Castle from the 13th century are one of the area's most famous landmarks, overlooking the town and designated as a Grade I listed building. Nearby Dudley Zoo is one of the UK’s well-known zoos, featuring several historically protected buildings in Britain, along with over 1,000 animals from more than 200 species. Dudley Museum and Art Gallery, located in the town centre, houses a large collection of fossils excavated from nearby nature reserves, exhibitions on local athlete Duncan Edwards, as well as artworks by local artists. The Black Country Living Museum showcases numerous reconstructed buildings that vividly recreate life during the industrial era. The scenic Dudley Canal is perfect for a relaxing boat ride, while the surrounding open areas are great for walking, cycling, and fishing.
