Haydock Park Racecourse is a horse racing venue in Haydock, Merseyside, England, situated on a vast expanse of open grassland equidistant from Liverpool and Manchester. Horse racing has been held here for many years; in the 1880s it was the site of hare coursing, while the current racecourse dates back to 1899.

Haydock Park Racecourse still retains its former park-like atmosphere, hinting at the history and contributions of the Lancashire gentry who once owned the land. The course features an oval-shaped track with a roughly one-mile-five-furlong gently undulating straight, leading into a six-furlong sprint followed by another straight. Owned by The Jockey Club, it hosts flat racing and National Hunt meetings, and was named Racecourse of the Year in both 1998 and 2000.

It is one of the most popular racecourses in the area and a key venue for numerous events, including the Grand National Trial in February each year. During race days, the excited crowds in the stands, the thundering hooves of galloping horses, and the roaring applause come together to create a joyful sea of excitement.
