Cavern Club

The Cavern Club is located on Mathew Street in Liverpool, England. It opened as a jazz club in 1957 and transitioned into a rock and roll venue in the 1960s. In the early days of The Beatles, they performed here, and it could be said that the initial Beatlemania originated at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.

The Cavern Club is a small live music venue that is still in operation today and is now part of the Liverpool Mathew Street Music Festival. The Beatles performed here for the first time on February 9, 1961, and it was because of them that the venue gained international fame, now becoming one of the most renowned Beatles pilgrimage sites. Occasionally, popular British bands such as Oasis and Arctic Monkeys also hold concerts here. The club’s front room is a well-known tourist attraction and an ideal spot for photos, where you can clearly see the names the band members carved into the wall after their performances.
