Bø Sommarland

Bø Sommarland is located in Telemark County, Norway. It is the largest summer water park in Norway and also one of the most beautiful water parks in Europe. Just a two-hour drive from the Norwegian capital Oslo, it opens every summer from early June to mid-August, attracting around 200,000 visitors each summer.

Bø Sommarland officially opened on June 27, 1985, and is a key amusement park project in the area. The park features six major water attractions. The first is Jettegryta — Cave Adventure, which is one of the largest slides in Bø Sommarland. Riders sit in pairs in an inflatable raft and slide down through a 100-meter-long tunnel from a height of 160 meters into the pool, offering an exhilarating experience. The second is the Half Pipe, one of the largest half-pipes in Europe, with a peak height of 19 meters. The third is Flow Rider, one of the world’s largest artificial surfing waves, available for riders once every hour.

The fourth is Mot i Brøstet, built in 1997 as the world’s first water roller coaster, and now it is the largest water roller coaster in Europe. The fifth is Magasuget, where riders experience a sudden 9-meter free fall from a height of 26 meters. The last is Leikeland, a water play area designed for children, featuring climbing castles, electric trains, fairytale houses, slides, mini-golf, and more.
