Maddie has just ended a messy relationship, and exhausted, she decides to impulsively marry a stranger who suddenly barges into her life—Ralph, a total hottie. Maddie even invites her sister Taylor to Italy to attend her wedding. But unexpectedly, Maddie’s fiancé turns out to be someone Taylor had a one-night stand with during her trip to Italy years ago. Unaware of this past, Maddie tries hard to help Ralph and Taylor get to know each other, leading to more alone time together—and they discover how well they click. So the sister becomes the rival, and the brother-in-law becomes the husband. In this dreamy, romantic Italian wedding against blue seas and skies, who will become the bride? And who is truly the other’s destined one?

The entire film was shot in Puglia in southern Italy. During production, the crew mobilized local residents, and several dance scenes were grand, featuring group dances with over 500 people. Locations including the airport, beaches, winding mountain roads, and streets all became stages, delivering a brand-new, exhilarating summer musical experience that’s perfect for a holiday. The tomato fight and dance scenes in the film surpass those in the StreetDance series, turning Italy’s blue seas and skies into a sun-drenched, joyful stage. Follow the passionate rhythm, and it’ll guarantee an unforgettable summer.

The stir in Blue Gate Crossing came from fear of the future; the stir in Operation Code: Sun Yat-sen comes from anger at the present. Anger that in an M-shaped society, poverty is about to become hereditary—or perhaps already is. Operation Code: Sun Yat-sen is a comedy, and we’re making it the angriest comedy possible.”
