Auditorio de Tenerife
The Auditorio de Tenerife is located in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Designed by Spanish architectural poet Santiago Calatrava Valls, it is regarded as one of the most important modern buildings in Spain and Europe.
Construction of the Auditorio de Tenerife began in 1997 and was completed in 2003. It was inaugurated on September 26, 2003, by Spanish Prince Felipe. The auditorium, built in an expressionist architectural style, has become an iconic structure for Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Canary Islands, and even Spain, receiving high praise for its white design. As the most photogenic building in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Auditorio de Tenerife covers an area of up to 23,000 square meters and is divided into two main sections. The main auditorium (Symphony Hall), adorned with a dome, has 1,616 seats, while the smaller hall accommodates 422.
At night, the Auditorio de Tenerife appears bright white, but on special occasions, it lights up in different colors, offering a unique experience of the venue.
