Moderna Museet in Stockholm is a museum located on Skeppsholmen Island in Stockholm, Sweden, adjacent to the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities. It first opened in 1958. In December 2009, the museum opened a branch in Malmö. The museum primarily collects contemporary artworks from Sweden, the Nordic countries, and internationally from the 20th century to the present, including works by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí.

The collections at Moderna Museet are divided into Swedish and Nordic art, international art, drawings and prints, photography, film, and television. The museum displays many classic works, such as Picasso’s "The Spring," Salvador Dalí’s "The Enigma of William Tell," and Vera Nilsson’s "Soap Bubbles." Robert Rauschenberg’s "Monogram" is a painting featuring a dead goat and a car tire. This may prompt visitors to wonder, “What does this mean?” Provoking thought is the very essence of visiting this internationally renowned museum. You will see the “Our Time” exhibition at the museum, which includes artworks from three different periods: 1900–1939, 1940–1969, and 1970 to the present. The exhibits are displayed in reverse chronological order unless you choose to view them otherwise.

The modern collections and popular artworks at the museum can leave a deep impression on visitors, even by European aesthetic standards. For example, the museum acquired works by Andy Warhol in 2008, featuring films by prominent artists of the 1960s, including "Sleep" and "Empire"—both must-see pieces.
