Arono Castle

Arono Castle is an exceptionally magnificent ancient fortress, with the castle and its surrounding gardens covering an area of 36 acres. It is one of the best-preserved and most splendid Baroque buildings in Sweden. From the open space in front of the castle, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Baltic Sea.

The history of this castle traces back to a 14th-century regiment. It was originally built in 1670 by Baron Gustav Kurck and designed entirely by the renowned architect Nicodemus Tessin. The castle has been home to many notable figures in Swedish history, including Lilliehook, Oxenstierna, Hamilton, Sperling, and Flach. The Flach family restored the castle to its original appearance between 1905 and 1913; the current owners have also carried out a thorough and comprehensive renovation.

Arono Castle is two stories high, with romantically toned pink exterior walls and is crowned with a uniquely Nordic mansard-style green roof. In front of the castle lies a beautiful large garden featuring a horse stable, expansive green lawns, and towering ancient trees, creating a naturally romantic atmosphere around the castle. Recently, the castle has gained widespread fame across Sweden due to the reality TV show "The Millionaire Swede."
