King's House

Introduction Located on the Grand Place, no king has ever actually lived here, but in the 16th century it served as an administrative and judicial center where taxes were collected in the name of the Spanish king. The King's House has been rebuilt several times, and the current Gothic building was constructed after 1874. It now functions as a city museum, displaying exquisite tapestries, ceramic artworks, brassware, platinum home furnishings, and more. The third floor exhibits clothes gifted to "Brussels' First Citizen" Manneken Pis by governments and celebrities from around the world.
