The explosion at Brussels Airport in Belgium has shaken European society, causing multiple casualties, and the airport has been closed indefinitely. It is reported that there is currently a large exodus of travelers heading to or from Belgium in Europe, with many opting to depart from either Paris, France, or Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Airports in these cities are crowded, and travelers preparing to depart from these two airports are advised to arrive at least four hours early.

Brussels Airport has also been closed indefinitely, affecting passenger flows in surrounding European countries. Many travelers are instead taking trains to Paris and Amsterdam airports to leave Europe.
