Arxan Bailang Peak is a major scenic area within the Arxan National Forest Park and is a national AAA-level tourist attraction. With a forest coverage rate of 90%, the main peak stands at 1,511 meters, and its summit features nearly 200 hectares of glacial relics. The area boasts high mountains, dense forests, crisscrossing ravines, diverse geographical types, and a complete ecosystem. The Tao'er River and its tributaries flow along the east and west sides of Bailang Peak, captivating visitors with its three outstanding landscapes: beauty, uniqueness, and peril. In recent years, infrastructure has been upgraded with the construction of wooden boardwalks, observation decks, cement roads, and more, further enhancing tourism services. Combined with various festivals such as the Azalea Festival and Sacred Water Festival, the area has boosted its competitiveness and influence in tourism development. Nowadays, Bailang Peak is increasingly popular among tourists, particularly appealing to photography, painting, calligraphy, literary enthusiasts, as well as filmmakers and self-driving travelers.

The Bailang Peak Scenic Area has a forest coverage rate of 90%. The main peak of Bailang Peak stands at an altitude of 1,511 meters, featuring high mountains, dense forests, crisscrossing ravines, and abundant rivers. The area has diverse geographical types and a complete ecosystem, with the Tao'er River and its tributaries flowing along the east and west sides of the peak. It offers unique seasonal landscapes and maintains a well-preserved pristine ecological environment. The area enjoys convenient transportation, being close to Provincial Highway S203, only 35 kilometers from the center of Arxan City, 20 kilometers from the Ulanhot–Arxan First-Class Highway, and 55 kilometers from the airport.

Traveling along the winding and steep mountain road, you will find upright and sturdy Dahurian larches, graceful birches and poplars, and the uniquely shaped black birches. As the altitude increases, you’ll notice the forest vegetation of the Greater Khingan Mountains distributed in distinct layers. Emerging from the sea of trees, you’ll be awed by the piles of peculiar rocks covering the mountains, with glaciers relics scattered among ancient pines.

The Menglang Mountain Village makes you feel as if you’ve returned to an ancient northern tribal settlement. Step into log cabins, conical tents, and yurts, ride Mongolian horses, and bring hunting and fishing gear to experience authentic fishing and hunting life. Play with deer in the jungle, go boating on the Sun-Moon Lake, drift along the Tao'er River, fish for cold-water fish, and savor wild delicacies — all of which will make you reluctant to leave.
