Bimini Museum

Bimini is the westernmost region of The Bahamas, consisting of a chain of islands and islets. It is the closest part of The Bahamas to the United States. It lies just 53 miles from Miami, Florida, and about 137 miles from Nassau, the capital of The Bahamas. The Bimini Museum was founded in 1995 but did not officially open to the public until 2000. It is a privately funded and operated museum dedicated to documenting the history and culture of Bimini. The museum plays an important role in researching the history, culture, customs, and artistic development of the Bimini Islands.
