The town of Shediac in Shediac Bay — known as Shadier — is famous for its lobster production and is called the "Lobster Capital of the World." This town is not only renowned for its lobsters but also features the world’s largest lobster sculpture at the western entrance of its town center. This lobster statue is primarily made of steel, measuring 10.7 meters in length, 5 meters in width, 4.9 meters in height, and weighing approximately 50 tons in total.

Since its completion in 1990, it has attracted around 500,000 visitors each year. Of course, many more tourists explore the streets and alleys in search of delicious lobster. Shediac hosts an annual Lobster Festival in early July, showcasing a variety of lobsters where visitors can feast their eyes and enjoy a hearty meal.
