Fundy Bay is the bay area with the greatest tidal range in the world, with an average tidal difference of 14.5 meters and a maximum of 16.3 meters. The highest tides can reach up to 48 feet, about the height of a four-story building. Tides rise and fall twice a day, and after the tide recedes, the beach is left covered with numerous seashells and marine snails. The tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the sun and moon on the Earth. The powerful waves not only bring ten billion tons of seawater every twelve hours but also have, over centuries, sculpted the world-renowned "Flowerpot Rocks" landscape.

In Fundy Bay, visitors can witness the rare sight of a reversing waterfall (Reversing Falls), which occurs when the Saint John River flows into the Bay of Fundy during the world’s highest tides. At high tide, the bay rises above the level of the river, causing the water to flow upstream. At low tide, the bay recedes below the river level, allowing the river to flow into it. Additionally, you can observe a greater variety of whale species here than in most other parts of the world. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy swimming, fishing, kayaking, and sunbathing in the bay.
