Magnetic Hill Zoo

Magnetic Hill Zoo is located in Moncton, New Brunswick, across from Magnetic Hill and Magic Mountain Water Park. Established in 1953, it spans 40 acres and is home to over 400 animals of more than 100 species, making it the largest zoo in Canada’s Atlantic provinces. In 2008, it was ranked among Canada’s top ten zoos.

Among the zoo’s 400+ animals, over 100 are native and exotic species, many of which are rare or endangered. The animals are categorized into mammals, insects, reptiles, fish, and birds. The zoo provides them with an excellent living and breeding environment where they can thrive and live happily in their own habitats. Throughout the year, the zoo hosts various animal feeding activities, such as feeding primates, lions, bears, and otters.

Magnetic Hill Zoo offers educational programs for children all year round, aiming to help kids learn about animals and raise awareness for wildlife conservation. Programs include daytime summer camps, birthday parties, and animal feeding experiences.
