Beaverbrook Art Gallery
The Beaverbrook Art Gallery is located southwest of the Saint John River in Fredericton, the capital of New Brunswick, and serves as the provincial art gallery of New Brunswick. Established in 1958, it was founded by Lord Beaverbrook.
Lord Beaverbrook was a renowned Canadian press baron who amassed a large personal collection of art pieces. He established this gallery as a gift to the province of New Brunswick, where he spent his childhood. The gallery houses works by world-renowned artists such as Gainsborough and Dalí, as well as outstanding pieces by Canadian artists from the 19th to the 20th century, including the Group of Seven and Jean Paul Riopelle.
