St. Andrews Town

St. Andrews is located in Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Canada. Established in 1783, it was named after St. Andrews in Scotland. It is one of the oldest and most charming towns in the Maritime Provinces, a truly unique place brimming with endless appeal.

Well-preserved, St. Andrews features numerous historic buildings, some dating back to the 18th century, including its famous grid street layout. There are also many commercial buildings from the 19th century. Attractions for visitors include The Algonquin Hotel, the Ross Memorial Museum, the St. Andrews Biological Station, the Huntsman Marine Science Centre (which includes the Huntsman Aquarium and Science Centre), the St. Andrews Blockhouse, the Farmers' Market, Kingsbrae Garden, and the Fundy Discovery Aquarium and the Sunset Beach Centre for arts and nature.

St. Andrews is also an ideal destination for whale watching. From May to October each year, it’s the best time to spot humpback whales, fin whales, and minke whales, as well as seals.
