Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (National Parliament House of Bangladesh)
Attraction Introduction The complex is vast, but structurally it is a combination of several very regular geometric forms—cylinders and rectangular blocks. The rectangular blocks feature large triangular voids cut out, through which the interior walls and square windows can be seen. The cylinders are solidly enclosed, airtight and dense, resembling large grain storage silos. The entire building’s exterior walls are entirely made up of massive, roughly surfaced, rectangular concrete slabs bonded together with white mortar, without using any other materials. The lines are simple, and the textures are left completely unadorned.
