Kaptai Lake
Attraction Introduction Also translated as "Karnaphuli Reservoir." The largest reservoir in Bangladesh. Located in the village of Kaptai on the upper reaches of the Karnaphuli River in the southeastern part of the country. Completed in 1962. It covers an area of 658 square kilometers, with a dam 640 meters long and 40 meters high, a spillway 227 meters long, capable of irrigating 400,000 hectares of land, and has a power generation capacity of 120,000 kilowatts.
