The Si-o-se-pol Bridge is a beautiful bridge located in Isfahan Province. It functions both as a bridge and a dam, built in 1650 by Shah Abbas II on the site of an older bridge. Undoubtedly, it has become one of the most beautiful and best bridges in Isfahan Province.

The Si-o-se-pol Bridge has become one of Iran’s most well-known tourist destinations. It is a multifunctional bridge that serves three purposes: as a passageway, a dam, and a leisure space. Spanning the Zayandeh River, the bridge has 23 arches, is 105 meters long and 14 meters wide, providing convenient passage for people. As a dam, when the bridge’s arches are closed, the water levels on either side change. The Si-o-se-pol Bridge features two levels of arches, distinguished by different colored tiles. At its center, there are two large pavilions called the Shah’s resting place. In addition to its stunning stone foundations, the bridge also stands out for its vividly colored tiles and original 17th-century paintings.

The Si-o-se-pol Bridge is not only a means of transportation but, in a sense, also a work of art, attracting numerous visitors as an object of admiration.
