Ali Qapu Palace

Ali Qapu Palace is located on the western side of Isfahan's Imam Square, opposite the Lotfollah Mosque. It is a magnificent large-scale palace, whose name means "The Grand Gate" — an apt description of its appearance.

Ali Qapu Palace stands 48 meters tall and has seven floors, with spiral staircases connecting each level. The corridors inside offer an ideal vantage point to watch games and activities taking place in the square. The interior is adorned with beautiful murals depicting natural landscapes, featuring birds, flowers, animals, and some human figures. Unfortunately, many of these murals have faded over time, though some have been partially restored. The sixth floor of the palace houses a music room, where numerous circular niches are found on the walls. These not only hold aesthetic value but also enhance acoustics, making it a true artistic marvel.
