Tashkent TV Tower

The Tashkent TV Tower is a unique architectural structure that began construction in 1978 and took six years to complete, officially opening on January 15, 1985. Standing at 375 meters tall, it combines traditional and modern Uzbek architectural styles, and from January 15, 1985, to 1991, it held the title of the third tallest building in the world.

The tower is equipped with broadcasting, television, and other types of communication equipment, serving multiple functions such as transmitting TV programs, receiving and sending satellite telecommunications signals, weather observation, and tourism. Visitors can explore the observation deck and two restaurants: the Blue Restaurant and the Red Restaurant, which can accommodate 120 diners at the same time.

The meteorological station inside the tower provides agricultural departments with information about weather changes. High-speed elevators can take visitors to the top-floor restaurant in just 30 seconds, allowing guests to enjoy their meals while taking in panoramic views of the city—an experience that’s both relaxing and memorable.
