Known as the "Park of the World," Switzerland alone attracts many travelers to this earthly paradise with its Alps, where every mountain peak, lake, and town seems like a scene from a fairy tale. Traveling in Switzerland, taking a scenic train ride is an essential travel experience, especially the Glacier Express, which has long captivated travelers with its unique design, reminiscent of a moving postcard, showcasing the most beautiful Alpine scenery in Switzerland. In autumn, riding the Glacier Express offers refreshing air and breathtaking views of the changing foliage along the route.

This year, the slowest scenic express train, the "Summer Glacier Express," will run until October 31, offering two additional weeks of service between Zermatt and St. Moritz compared to previous years. The Glacier Express travels across 291 bridges, 91 tunnels, and 7 valleys, allowing passengers to enjoy some of the most stunning Alpine vistas in Switzerland. As the seasons change, autumn rides offer crisp air and a colorful display of leaves along the way—truly a feast for the eyes.

During the summer operation period, the Glacier Express has prepared a sweet surprise for passengers: Swiss candies will be served on board. This famous Swiss brand has a history of over 100 years. Each seat comes with a small bag bearing the Glacier Express logo, filled with Swiss candies, adding extra sweetness and delight to your journey. Additionally, starting this summer, first-class passengers can enjoy magazines on board, featuring detailed information about the Glacier Express, recommended attractions along the route, insights into local traditional culture, currently available in German and English, with a Japanese-language leaflet also provided.

From now until October 31, anyone who purchases a Glacier Express package will receive a complimentary three-course lunch worth 41 Swiss Francs. The package includes second-class tickets from the Swiss border to Zermatt or St. Moritz, second-class tickets for the full journey on the Glacier Express, one night’s stay in a three-star hotel in Zermatt or St. Moritz, and second-class return tickets to the Swiss border. The package can be upgraded to include a stay in a four-star hotel or first-class tickets for an additional fee. For more details, visit www.glacierexpress.ch.

The Zermatt Glacier Express also offers convenient and fast luggage services. Groups traveling from Täsch Station to Zermatt via shuttle bus or continuing their journey on the Glacier Express from Zermatt can enjoy free bus parking at the Täsch parking lot. There is also a complimentary luggage transport service between Täsch and Zermatt for group travelers. With advance booking, group luggage will be delivered directly to Zermatt and notified to the respective hotel staff for collection. The same service is available for the return journey.
