The number of visa-free countries for holders of the Republic of China passport has increased from 158 to 161. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the Government of the Republic of Chile (The Republic of Chile) has granted visa-free treatment to our nationals holding Republic of China passports starting from January 1, 105 (2016 in the Gregorian calendar), the Republic of Uzbekistan (The Republic of Uzbekistan) allows entry via visa on arrival, and the Republic of Rwanda (The Republic of Rwanda) allows entry via e-visa.

● Chile
Taiwanese travelers holding a Republic of China passport valid for at least six months can enjoy visa-free entry into Chile (application category limited to “tourist visa,” with permitted entry purposes including tourism, business, family visits, and religious activities), with a maximum stay of 90 days per visit.

● Rwanda
Taiwanese travelers visiting Rwanda for short-term tourism or business inspections can apply for an Entry Visa Acceptance letter via the electronic visa page of the country’s Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration (https://www.migration.gov.rw/index.php?id=203), which they can present for boarding and then exchange for an official visa upon arrival in Rwanda.

● Uzbekistan
