Lake Chorvak

Although Lake Chorvak is referred to as a lake, it's actually a reservoir located in the northern part of Tashkent Province, enclosed by a 168-meter-high stone dam with a water storage capacity of 2 cubic meters. Though not particularly eye-catching, it provides convenient water supply for the region. It’s an extremely tranquil lake — so serene that its presence is almost imperceptible. The emerald-green surface and crystal-clear waters are truly refreshing.

Nowadays, Lake Chorvak has become a popular summer retreat and vacation destination for locals in Tashkent Province as well as international tourists. Surrounded by mountains, the area enjoys cool and pleasant weather in the summer, making it an ideal spot to escape the heat. On the right side of the lake, there’s a narrow footpath leading to nearby mountain ranges, where visitors can go hiking in their leisure time and admire the peaceful Lake Chorvak from above.
